Steam News announces the
availability of a new Steam update that addresses a bunch of bugs in the content
delivery system (thanks Frans). There is an accompanying update that outlines
future updates that include a new version of Counter-Strike, a new version of
Day of Defeat, and a new friends and server browser.

I downloaded Steam w/ the CS cache, installed it, let it update, and started playing. I don't understand the big deal everyone has with Steam, it's better than the silly browsers that come with the mods anyways.
