Shacknews has finally
received official word that Half-Life 2 will not be making its planned release
date of September 30, something a quick glance at the calendar can confirm.
Here's the quote from Valve's Doug Lombardi:
The previously announced September 30th release date for Half-Life 2 is being pushed back. We are currently targeting a holiday release, but do not have a specific "in-store" date to share at this time. We will release that information as soon as we have confirmed a new date.
Man, you'd think you guys had nothing better to do with your time.
But you have time to visit a gaming enthusiast website and make posts? Don't you have something better to do, like walk your dog or go on a date? Geez, what a nerd!!!
Well, it was said with some measure of irony, but the point is that there are bigger things to worry about than a game being delayed, and surely people can find something else to do with their time. So maybe I meant nothing *else* to do with their time rather than anything better.
In other news, I'm kinda glad the game is slipping as I need all the money I can get to pay for the engagement ring I'm buying. A winnar is me.
