The guy in the cut scenes in the original Max Payne looked like a 20 year old kid, for christ's sake.

I find the look change to be a bit wierd too, but think about this: Max Payne is supposed to be a gritty noir graphic novel type affair. I read comic books for a long time, and sometimes a new artist would take over the art for a series and draw the characters in a fairly different style.

Or hell, maybe he had plastic surgery. <shrug>

At any rate, I really liked Max Payne 1, so here's hoping 2 will be good.

On a general note, Max Payne IS the guy from the first game, (who I think is the writer Sam Lake, and was the basis for the model and 'cut scene' graphic bits)I don't know WHO this guy is...You don't take Lara Croft and make her a short blonde with a flat chest for the sequel, and so it should be with Max. He is IMO, a very distinctive character, who has been dumped in favour of this Pierce Brosnan/Clint Eastwood/whoever else wannabe.Or am I missing something? Sorry...rant over.

Frankly, I just wasn't impressed by this. It looked rather "cartoony" to me which is something I never saw in the first game.
