no joke, thieves keep an eye out for obits and usually people put the funeral time in for everyone to see so the robbers know that from the time the funeral starts and a good time after (reception) you wont be home

I've heard of this also.

WHAT?????!!???! You're kidding right? I can't believe this. That's most cruel ass thing I've heard of.

Halsy, people cope in different ways. Some with anger, some with laughter, some with work, some with utter sadness and dispair. Let Stephen cope in his own way and his own time.

Stephen, peace be on you mate, take it in your own time.

What are you doing? I know the distractions can help in these times of crisis, but you shouldn't be here right now. We'll still be here when you get back. People can live without Blues for a few weeks. Taking time to grieve and heal isn't going to lose you readers. We love you man. You are one of the biggest parts of making online gaming news what it is. We're not going anywhere, you won't lose us. Go be with family and friends. Heal thyself. We'll still be here when you get back. We're all family after a sort. A wiser man than I once said, "Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."

I can only imagine how you feel right now. I've lost some people over the years that I love dearly, but I reckon my mother has always been my only real anchor. Who else can love a child so unconditionally?

To paraphrase W.H. Auden's Funeral Blues...

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message She Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

She was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever; I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood,
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

I can relate to how you must feel right now. My Mom died very suddenly from Lou Gehrig's disease a few years ago. It takes a long time to start to feel normal again and adjust to the big absence left behind, but it does get easier as time goes by. Hang in there, and remember you can still make her proud as she keeps an eye on you from the afterlife.

Lots of praise for Frans as well for keeping things running as smoothly as they can be, I'm sure it's been hard on him too, especially with everything suddently happening.

I've been coming here for a very, very long time, several years now. If you want to know the latest about games, this is where you go to learn. Other sites have tried and then failed. Only Bluesnews is the heartbeat that goes on. Which is why I was so stunned when that heartbeat skipped. It started with some huge missing spots & only 1 or 2 reports of stuff with no Out of the Blue or anything. Then a couple days of nothing, which to my knowledge has never happened.

When I saw the reason, I wasn't surprised, but I was concerned. I remember a few years ago when the breast cancer links were appearing. It looked like it was beaten then and we heard nothing for a long time. My hope is that she went without much pain in the end & that she was able to leave with good thoughts of her family, if even through dreams.
