Well at least McDonalds will be reaching the people who spend the most money on their food: Fat, greasy, ugly, slobbish computer geeks who play games all day and eat McDonalds for breakfast lunch and dinner every day of the week because cooking doesn't involve a joystick and their mom won't cook for them anymore because they won't move out and get a job and stop spending all their welfare money on games and McDonalds.

Radeon9800 Pro at 520/390 (water cooled)
Which gets em a score of 24182

However, they do got an over clocked P4 to 4.1GHZ, and Radeon9800PRO at 530/390 both water cooled, with a score of 24747, beating the AMD64 original

In a second attempt with the AMD64, after tweaking FSB, Voltage, and various things, he got it up to 24825, just barely beating the OC'd P4

i am more than a bit surprised at both the Colts and Browns D's - though holcomb was *not* himself that game. i'm hoping it's just "first time starter" jitters. it was freakish to see those two particular teams in a defensive gridlock for 4 quarters though. holcomb and manning combine for 4 INT's and no TD's - wtf? it was beautiful to see Davis' "speed speed speed, tackle tackle tackle" plan finally come to life. our D is *fast* and our open-field tackles were sweet. i'm still stunned by our lacklust O though. hopefully you're right, WarPig - Dungy may have turned the Colts into a team with respectable D. i sure hope so...

anyway - good luck tonight Bronco... i'm rootin' for the eagles, personally (because i dislike the Bucs). 20 minutes until showtime!

I think part of the point in using 3DMark01 is so that it doesn't strain the video card (though it doesn't say what video card was used, but it was probably a 9800 or 5900), thus giving a better idea of how much performance is gained by the CPU. Some sites do the same thing by using Quake 3 at lowest quality in 640x480.

Given that video cards are still a bottleneck in 3DMark03, it's not very practical to use it to gauge CPU performance gain in games.

Well, it IS just 3D Mark 2001 though. I'm sure it would still perform well on a newer version, but it's score wouldn't be NEARLY that high.

When my mother died in July, we had her burial for the close family/relatives at 10am, then returned to the church for her service at 1pm. She was creamated, and it just seemed to work out well. Funeral services are supposed to be celebrations of the person's life, and if their casket/urn is sitting up front, it's hard to rejoice.

Bronco, WarPig, what did you guys think of the new improved Kelly Holcomb piloted Browns.

Although I didn't watch any of the game, I agree with Bronco. The Colts are my "sleeper" Super Bowl pick for the AFC. I know it was only pre-season, but when I watched the Colts / Seahawks game I was very impressed by how physical the Colts defense looked. At the time I wondered if it was just the Seahawks being soft, but including yesterday's game the Hawks have matched up with everyone else just fine. So, I still think the Browns will compete with the Steelers all year - after all, it was just one game and like I said, Dungy may have the Colt's defense working up to his high standards.
