Out of the Blue

It's a sad day in here, as Mimi, our family matriarch sometimes referred to here as GrandmaBlue died yesterday. Before her mental faculties started to fade over the past few years she was quite the sharp-minded and sharp-witted woman with remarkable degrees of old-world fastidiousness and frugality. She reached a ripe old age and managed to avoid serious illness or any such thing along the way, so we feel grateful for that as we let her go, but she will certainly be missed.

Nah, Night of the Living Dead and all that were superb film titles. Almost classic.

Rancid Aluminium. That was daft.
Some suit somewhere wanted to create the same kind of feel as say 'Resevoir dogs'. And failed.

george Romeros 'Night of the living dead' 1968

The title may have not been the best, but I loved the movie...something about the way it was filmed in B & W actually added to the terror...

Blue,
My own grandmother passed away on Saturday night.
She was an absolute rock and her passing is hitting us hard.
My condolences to you and your family.

As for the 20 worst movie titles in hollywood history.. I'm speechless. Attack of the Clones was a stunning title for a film.

I should mention Marweas was made long before Alex made that post on the relic forum, it was just a small taboo movie posted on the sierra forums.

Which illustrates my point beautifully.

Not really. You made a bunch of baseless and hyperbolic comments/accusations and I responded in kind. Besides, I thought unpopular viewpoints and inappropriate humor were your cup of tea? Not when it's directed towards you though, is that it?

Give me a break dude, you tried to play Devil's Advocate and made some flawed points. I pointed them out. When you're talking about the response that trolls get, you act as though they're completely innocent people. If I hit you and you hit me back, do I have the right to complain about the terrible wrongs you have done me unjustly? Do we hear reports on the ghastly and senseless violence inflicted on would-be murderers by their intended victims?

Wow, finally got back from golf - thought we were going to get into a fight with the group ahead of us, luckily nothing happened. Kind of spoiled the outing.

Hey Warpig. Are you ready for Sunday? How do you think the Seahawks are going to fare this year?

Well, going into the preseason I was thinking that the Seahawks might surprise a few people this year. But since then they have already lost three important starters and I really didn't like the way they looked during a couple of the preseason games... so now I'm not quite so optimistic.

Will Holmgren still be coach in January?

I hope so. He's finally got the offense clicking and getting Ray Rhodes to run the defense was huge. Plus he's not the general manager any more which I thought was a bad deal - it's just too much for one guy to do with all the salary cap issues these days.

How about you? The Eagles should be strong again but they've already lost a few guys also. I think they and the Giants will go down to the wire in the East.

The death of my grandmother was a bittersweet event- I was elated her suffering was over and (excuse the religous allusion if that's not your thing) a better life was beginning. At the same time the finality of death stung horribly even though I witnessed her severe deterioration in the last weeks- you're never really ready to let go... I suspect that this might be a little of what Blue is feeling. I hate it when someone says "I know what your going through" because there's no way they can but at least I can relate. My sympathies to you and yours, Blue.
