It's not a second wheel, the one wheel tilts left and right. And Microsoft might be lame, but their peripherals aren't. They also have a nice warranty policy - I just got my mouse returned for a new one when they did not have to do it. Incidently, the mouse wheel was a Microsoft innovation (apparently that does exist) in the first place, or at least that's what I read.
