So, it's "No more free IE updates" followed by "Oh look, IE *IS* fatally flawed".
I suppose we'll have to BUY the replacement, eh?
Makes you wonder who *did* write POZA, that looked like it could hurt MS, but was fatally flawed...

Okay, how am I supposed to patch the swiss cheese that is IE security when the Windows update site gives me this warning -

"Windows update error. Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page."

Duh!

Hey Blue, do you think it's time to implement some sort of "sigs can't be more than X lines" rule? That down there's just plain obnoxious.

They could abuse it simply by picking and choosing who they allow to gain interoperability too. Like say not letting any application that runs on Linux work with Messenger. Wouldn't put it past them at all.

At least they're allowing people to contact them in order to gain operability. Now whether they abuse this and charge large fees remains to be seen.

Microsoft closing its doors to other IM services? They were lobbying for open systems when AIM was the dominant one - as it's stated in the article.
