That's the whole case in one point, Halsy.
And education has nothing to do with how smart someone is. Anyone can get a PhD by kissing ass, sucking up and getting others to do your work. Some of the smartest people are those who apply themselves in other areas, rather than academia. One of the smartest, funniest people I know didn't even make it to highschool. Now he's a self made millionaire. I disagree with his politics but he's a very smart and worldly person. An automechanic may be smarter than the professor but he has applied himself in other places than the world of education. You can be smart, but not do well in school. Some criminals are quite brilliant. A degree is just a piece of paper that took you a long time to earn. It means something to people like you, who interpret it as intelligence. To others, it means nothing. I'm not saying education is bad. It can enrich your life. But some enjoy the enrichment of something other than the typical educational establishment.
