I understand much english speaking people wouldn't want to move to Quebec because they don't want to learn the language, but that's just too bad for them.
Um, no. That's too bad for Quebec because they lose out on a huge amount of talent and business that would otherwise end up there.
we actually PAY for other provinces and we don't receive additional funds from the federal government
Wrong again. Quebec recieves the overwhelming amount of government work and contracts in Canada and they cost Canadians the most of any province because of it.
Our federalism is FAR from being perfect, but it's still leagues better than the political system in the USA IMO
Is it? Now you have Newfoundland, Alberta and BC are talking about seceeding-again because they're sick of Quebec and the handouts they get to the exclusion of the rest of the country as well as as always using seperation as leverage to blackmail the rest of the country. For all the problems the US has I don't hear ANY of the states making earnest noices about seceeding because one particular state pissing everyone else off-although I'm sure a lot of people would like to see California gone.
Can you prove it?
Um, it's common business knowledge.
Seriously, do you think more people == more "skilled" workforce?
Um, as applies to industrialized nations, that's generally the case.
Seriously, we aren't much different if you put language aside. I think you're just being a troll and that if you actually went to Montreal and try to meet people, especially english speaking people, you wouldn't see much difference
I have spent a great deal of time in both Montreal and Quebec City, and there are definite cultural differences between those places and Toronto. So shut up with the troll nonsense because you clearly don't know a great deal about either business or politics. Now it would seem obvious why the rest of Canada hates Quebec.
