OMG, this is demo is a joke.

the inability to change options or at least control configs reflects poorly on the game its supposed to be pimping.

Someone at EA is an Idiot. This half assed demo will convince no one to purchase this game.

Check around the config files - the FIFA2003 demo was limited to something like 640x480 or 800x600 (which strikes me as a stupid limitation for a demo). This could be changed in some config file (I don't remember the name).

Yeah not being able to modify the display settings did it for me. Can't tell how game will perform at 1280x1024 which is my LCD monitor's native resolution. I don't run anything scaled. Oh well, try again next year.

a) not enough hard drive space
b) only a 150k connection
c) no desire to play it

Alstott fumbles too much at the goal line, maybe that's why they've got Pittman.

yeah, it's not too different, but the UI gives it a bit of needed oomph - playing the PC version of 2k3 and then a console version made me envious of my console friends - never mind there were console only features last year (madden cards, custom play design). Played it a bit more, got some of the new tackles going, those were nice, as is the replay while picking the next play (though that can distract you from the play clock...). Horse Trailer player of the game is funny, but a bit goofy. Hopefully you can see the trailer in the full game.

Well, it's supposed to still support direct ip-ip (like 2k3 did), so it'd be a shame if you do have to pay. I note that thier site says "There is no charge for EA SPORTS online service this year, a complimentary one-year subscription is included with the purchase of Madden NFL 2004.", so that might allay some of your fears, fred.

well, this version is not much different from last years, many things are the same. I like the new packages though with the bucs, you can run the jumbo backfield with alstott as the running back, but i found an error already. They have a goal line package with Sapp as tight end but they put pittman as the rb instead of alstott. COME ON
