Seriously, it all depends on the people playing in a server. Usually if that's what's going on, it's not too hard to just find another server where people are working as a team.
I've played bob a lot where everyone would work as a team and we held the points for a long time and won.
For some reason not everyone catches on that the factory should be protected right from the first spawn. Since it can withstand the most damage it is the best place to fall back on when there's only 1 spawn left opposed to it being the radar tower which can be taken out quite quickly.
I like playing the game with someone I know with voice chat software (I actually picked up GameVoice so I use their software). This is effective on this map because myself and Soupkin can coordinate a 2 man defense of the factory and alert eachother of incoming bombers and paratroopers.
I really hate being on the allied team when people are spawning with assault or sniper class. It doesn't make sense to me and in no way does it help the team. As for the engineer class I have a tip: While I'm repairing an objective, I will circle around it repairing it and when I run out of engineering "juice" there is an easy way of getting more. Usually engineers are constantly dying all around from the bombs and they are leaving their packs lying around. All you gotta do is pick up a dead man's pack and you have lots more engineering juice, when you're out pickup your old pack if no other engineers have died.
As for being on the axis, the smart players on that team will go right for the factory from the start where no one is manning the AA guns.
Sorry, just felt like adding a few comments about playing the map in hopes you'll start to like it again.
