Out of the Blue

Today was supposed to be our doggie houseguest's departure day, but due to insane rainfall around these parts (there are flood reports and the whole nine yards), it's possible her adoptive folks' flight was cancelled, we're not even sure they're back in town yet. That's okay, we're going to miss the little pistol when she goes, so an extra day or two is more than welcome.

Note to self: Check the LAN hub when the internet goes down, not just the DSL router... the time saved on the occasions when the hub's power supply just needs jiggling will be worth it.

human feces

I'm curious how they determined its human origins.

I'm also curious how it got in there. Wait on second thought...

What, no "cleaning his balls" joke, Dan? I'm disappointed!

I recently was told a story of someone that washed their golf balls in a washer that was loaded with human feces.

He was looking for shiny balls and got just the opposite.

Not a joke but funny all the same.

Boomslang died?

I am sorry to hear that........that you had to use a Boomslang for so long.

Get a real mouse from Logitech - either a MX700 or, my personal favorite, the Mouseman Dual Optical.

Needing at least 2 sensors :o,

Yes, there I have it, I have to admit it. And might I just say, that is lame. It cost just as much as a 4 port router. So why not buy a 4 porter(is that a word?) and have the extra? Ahh well...to each is own. If they are making money, more power too them. Which I will also say that Linksys rocks! As I make my own network cable, cheaply I might add; So it is not shielded. SO when my neighbors tree got struck by lighting (a good 200 feet away from the hub), with the cable not being shielded, It just channeled a large amount of the Elector Magnetic Pulse straight into my hub. Linksys replaced my hub for free! Even though it was from cheaply made cabling! So, let em sale that for the same price as a 4 porter (again, is this a word) as they are a good company in my opinion! (not to mention they make good quality products, reasonably priced!)

*edit* I know it is a real word, but is it a real word in the context I am using it?

You have a DSL router and a hub? I have never heard of a router with less then 4 ports.

You have a DSL router and a hub? I have never heard of a router with less then 4 ports. So if you have a hub hooked up to that, you got more then 4 computers hooked up to the internet and or network? If not, why go through both, as it would just be a waste? Guess blue is more pimpin' then he's letting on!

Blue:

Does this happen often? DOes your hub have a flakey power supply/connector? If so send me an email. I've got a slick little Linksys 5-port 10/100 switch here that you can have, if you like.

Yes powerstrip that bronco said is a good one, all purpose general one. However, If you have certain video cards, you can find tweaking programs specially for them, opening up a lot more features then powerstrip will. What kinda vid card you wanting to tweak?
