With a copy of it sitting next to my GameCube, perhaps it should have been clarified that this is the PC and Mac versions.

Does this version, like TH3, lack sufficient network gameplay?

no clue about the network gameplay, but judging from the demo, it still has the problem of not seeing a gamepad unless it's one of the ones the porting team deemed worthy. I've got an Xbox controller wired into my computer, and neither TH3 nor the TH4 demo will see it, even tho every other game I have works flawlessly with it.

Yet another case of a developer that refuses to actually use DirectX for what it's good at. All they SHOULD have done is ask the system if there was a game controller present, then ask how many buttons/axes it has. that's ALL it should do. It's like developers enjoy making their lives (and ours) more of a pain in the ass than they need to.

Gah! Pet hate! What they should have done is ask the system *how many* controllers are present and how many buttons/axes each has. Sorry to vent but the number of games that can't handle 2 or more game controllers is ridiculous. Mind you, not even asking DX at all is pretty damned stupid.

But by ignoring DirectX input they gain cross platform compatibility!

*ducks*

By ignoring Windows and Mac you can have this great game on any console... and they all work great with their controllers.
