Out of the Blue

Yesterday I got a wild hair to have less wild hair, and cut most of it off (I now resemble the logo more than ever). Later in the day we picked up some supplies for an impromptu cookout and because there was beer in our cart, the young lady at the checkout asked for my driver license! Now I'm not going to kid myself that I suddenly look underage as much as she was just clueless. On the other hand, I don't think I will ever shop anywhere else... and she sure looked mystified when I tipped her.

and think of all those new elements we might find!

there's not many elements left to find.. plus the moon's minerals wouldn't be much different from the earth's.. they were both created with the same stuff.. although it seems as though the moon was hit with more meteors than the earth

I believe it was Mars, it might have been the moon, but I once heard that it was so mineral dense that something like 1 cubic ton of it would be equal to about 1000 cubic tons on the same minerals on earth. I don't recall the numbers exactly, but thats why they want to get into space so bad.

Anyway you slice it, if the enviornmentalists are right and the earth keeps getting trashed and overpopulated at its current rate we only have 2 or so centuries left before there are major collapses in the ecosystems which means bye-bye humanity in a protracted and painful manner.
Terraforming is really the only way to go.

A moon mining base and transportation to and from the earth... That couldn't be expensive, and think of all those new elements we might find!

return for what? more cool moon rocks?

Why not? The moon is supposed to be very mineral rich, so why not set a base up there to mine and refine? Don't tell me you wouldn't want a moon rock? I sure as hell want one.

Of course, pay phones aren't .25 any more.

They aren't? They are here.

Gah, here in Milwaukee, phones are 50c, and soon to be 65c (coming by the end of the year they say) Now more than ever am I glad I have this calling card from the bank, gives me free minutes for each purchase

Is anyone else horribly sick of that ad? I'm trying to listen to music dammit! And it restarts itself after a while too. Still haven't figured out a way to block it..

OT, but it's the only appropriate place to put it.

You have to learn how to cook with it. Pot pizza would be a optimal combination.

Oh, wow. That's brilliant! Also, vapes are good.

Weed is good for you, its just smoking it has negative side effects that basically negate the positives. You have to learn how to cook with it. Pot pizza would be a optimal combination.
