HomeLAN Fed's Halo PC Q&A talks with both Bungie's Michel Bastien and Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford about the upcoming PC version of Halo. Here's a bit from Randy that helps explain why this port has taken so long:

We got the net code up to speed by starting over and re-writing it. Halo for Xbox was not designed to be played over the internet – we spent nearly half of our time on network programming and we think it’s going to be well worth the investment. What do you think? That's one of the biggest bullshit lies ever made up to defend a point I've ever heard.

Those Microsoft pricks really laid THE MEAT to us PC gamers. They came and bought an almost finnished game the whole PC community was looking forward too. Then declared that HALO was XBOX only. I think most FPS fans can remember where they were when they first heard that HALO was going to be XBOX only.

So if we don't buy it now 2 and a half years later, thats good as far as I can see. I'm sure alot of us wont mind seeing Microsoft take on in the shorts.
