Endless Ages Retail

Endless Ages Takes Online Gaming to the Next Level (thanks Frans) is the press release announcing the North American retail release of this MMOG previously only available online. Here's the word: "This unique mixture of genres is the first massively multiplayer online game to boast no invisible load walls and virtually zero lag common among other massively multiplayer games. Endless Ages is also the first game of this type to add player vs. player arenas popular among first person shooter fanatics."

I played the beta for this game and it was pretty fun for a while. I personally wouldn't pay money for it though with other more fun MMORPGs out (Shadowbane is getting to a nice stable point finally, haven't tried SWG but I intend to soon.) The graphics are admittedly bad (maybe a generation above Asheron's Call 1) but the look of the game lends it a very weird acid trip feel to it. When I played the beta I was a frogman and I would chill out in the frog village with my laser pistol and strafe around shooting giant bats out of the sky and giant rolling shell monsters. You gain experience from shooting at monsters, not from killing them, so you can actually progress in the game pretty quickly. Not sure if there's any pvp.
