JA3 and Wizardry 9?

RPGDot's Robert Sirotek and Linda Currie Q&A is a conversation with the pair about the wind-down at Sirtech and what they are currently up to. In addition to saying "Chances are excellent" that we will see Jagged Alliance 3 one day, along the way, Robert has this to say about the prospects that Wizardry 9 will be produced:

Yes, absolutely the chances are very good. I can not tell you much more than this. When some decisions are taken, and I have something to report, I will contact you.

10. JA3 would kick ass May 29, 2003, 21:08 Flarnet
Not nearly enough turn based strategy games around. And since JA2 pretty much is undefeated even after 4 years, I pretty exited over the prospect of a JA3.

They could make a kick ass game with only half of the funding bioware have. That is as long as they don't get sucked up by EA and be forever tanited. Another version 9 of a game comes to mind.

I can't wait for Ivan to show off how well his english has gotten.

Never played JA, so can't comment there

But I do hope they release Wizardry 9. Wizardry 8 was a really good RPG, very deep, good storyline, actually interesting character classes, and it looked pretty good considering it had about zero funding and no publisher. I borrowed the copy from a friend, who had tracked it down on some Canadian website, and had it shipped to him via Syria Planum I think.

I'd love to see what these guys can come up with if they were given the funding that, for example, Bioware gets for their games.

JA fuckin rocks the house! I cant wait for that! I think a 3D version might be cool... and maybe a non-linear mission structure a la early X-Com type stuff. Whatever they do, Id be willing to bet it will be one of the best TBS games ever.

Ivan! and Spider! and Magic!!!! Magic is the fucking man!

Sorry, I get all giddy, nostalgia tends to smack me in the face with a barrage of images and feelings like a wet towel

Can't wait for JA3, I trust the Sirtech boys.

-DSR <--has no problem with 90% of the current game development being sequels

Hmm. Maybe now the will have some more news.

Very little will make me happier than a JA3.

A Jag3 would make me very happy. I really hope it does get made. The second was a sweet game. Here's to hoping.
