Someone makes a good game, like Raven making Heretic 2, and it sells less than 100,000 copies. Shiney shovels out a load of uninspired shit that happens to have the words "The Matrix" in the title, and in less than a week they're over a million in sales. Go Figure.

I guess thats why we never get anything new and creative from developers.

I played it for one night. The graphics had some problems (artifacts, etc.) so I downloaded the latest vid drivers for my GEForce Ti4200. Now the game won't even load! It's been a week and I'm gettin pissed. And don't bother trying to register for their forum if you use hotmail or yahoo mail. They don't accept them.

the console ports seem to be faring much better

They probably spent more time on those ports because once the game is released there's little they can do about bugs/issues etc. for consoles. The PC on the other hand, well they probably rushed it so it was released in time for the film and figured, "issues? We'll patch them later, we haven't got time to test this game enough".

The old debate "name a good game based on a film/film license" still has a very, very, very small list. If a list at all!

I thought the game was fun. Not 'mind-blowingly
technologically advanced virtual matrix simulation' fun.
But fun, nonetheless.

Of course, it'd be nice if they fixed the horrible control
problems and Naobi driving like a person afflicted with
CP..."Naobiiiii!"

Also made a great companion to the movie(I played through
half of it with Ghost before I saw it in the theatres...I
totally recommend playing half of this game before you see
the theatrical release).

I guess I'll rent the PSX2 version in a month or so, play through it in a day just to watch the video, and then be done with it. That's 4 dollars instead of 50, makes good sense to me

I can't believe that fucking turd sold a million copies. Ofcourse, they might have had 700.000 returns by now, and won't say...

Creston, glad that his hunch about Shiny proved to be correct.

It's not Atari, it's "Infogrames Atari". That's the only correct way to say it.

thats 1million pissed off buyers

As much as I feel cheated by the PC version (the controls and frame rate are horrible) the console ports seem to be faring much better.

I bought the PC ver, thinking I would be getting the best version, and ended up with the worst.

Thanks Shiny (ya pricks)!

That's good marketing for ya

They've already shipped 4.5 million copies cross platform..

John Romero should come back to pc gaming. Most certainly not developing Daikatana, but another game and not as project manager.

that sucks.. I just spent 10 minutes on PetitionOnline.com to make a Petition to Petition the Petition for a Diakatana Sequel Petition.

I fill out all the forms, make it all professional looking, preview the petition and then submit it.. and I get a "Sorry, we are not accepting new petitions at this time due to server upgrades!"

Let's start the timer and see how long it takes for enough signatures on the petition, let alone the game.
