Robocop Demo

Dead or alive, you're coming with me, as the Robocop Website now offers a playable demo of the PC game based on the exploits of the cinematic cyborg cop. The demo is a 24 MB download that's gone unnoticed for the last month until spotted by Gamer's Hell, where they have provided a mirror. The demo offers one level.

ok, so im at work, and obviously i cant play the game, but i managed to look at the screenshots.

Now are some of those prerendered or are they all in game shots, because some look in game (ie fairly crappy) and some look like they could be in game, but the crappy ones indicate they are not!

Anyone help me out? (looked at the screenies on gamers hell btw) Thanks.

I think that I won't be downloading this game even though I am a big fan of Robocop. The screenshots look to be about 5 years old and nothing that could compete to today's FPS games.

At most I'll look for this in the bargin bin.

Anyone notice how on the digital HBO channels at any given time there's at least one of the Robocop movies playing?
I really like the first two, especially w/Frank Miller's over-the-top depiction of the world in 2.

It sucks. You have to remap the controls from the arrow keys to wasd, youd think they'd get it by now.

also, arresting the bad guys is so random. sometimes they give up without you shooting them, othertimes you have to shoot them once or twice, then sometimes these bastards dont give up at all.

oh yeah, graphics blow.

theres 15 min i wish i had back.

You'll never get it back, but hopefully we'll stop someone else from making the same mistake.

Funny, I use that same standard. And the greater the difference between 100mb and actual demo size, the worse it is. I'm not even going to try this demo (only came here to see what people were saying about it) because I thought the movies stunk.

I use the arrow keys.
always have, always will.

pinky on control. and then map surrounding buttons to what i need. That way its easier on your hand (closer to the base so better resting spot, plus i dont hit any accidental keys. Tried wsad and hated it!)

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. It's a great game. Who knew they'd still be porting PS1 games to the PC in 2003?

You know selling dlc before you patch the client doesn't impress upon me the need to support your shit. -massdev

How do you fire?

There's an article in a recent UK PC Gamer in defense of using the cursor keys instead of WASD. There's a certain logic to it, but for most games there just aren't enough keys near to your movement directions to easily perform all the functions the game allows.

These days I'm using Q and E to cycle through my inventory. It works really well. (I've never been much of a leaner).
