There's a
Painkiller Preview on GameSpy.com with a look at the upcoming FPS in the
works at Polish developer People Can Fly. Here's a bit that suggests that you
will be able to check your brain at the door when playing, as long as you
remember your gun:
But sometimes you just want a shooter with some messy, old-school blood and brutality -- minus the characters who talk too much or the scripted events that get in the way of the killing. In 2001, Croteam's acclaimed Serious Sam reminded people just how much fun an old-fashioned DOOM-style shooter can be. Now, developer People Can Fly is adopting a very similar approach with its upcoming first-person shooter called Painkiller, a gothic frag-a-thon with all the death and destruction you could want.
