LMAO!!!! 60 seconds in a turn based strategy game!! That must be like one turn!! In the early stages!! More like 1/4 of a turn once you get some citys going. Good GRAVY!!

Knew something had to be fishy. 60 minutes is more like it, and if you like turnbased, Civ 3 is one blast of a game.

Okay I'm downloading it now. I can handle 60 minutes.
I was so very stoked when Sid said he was going to do this game. And then guess what, they didn't put multiplayer in. So I decided to wait until they patched in multiplayer. Then they decided to charge extra to complete the game.
So Sid still hasn't gotten my money. Soon though he will. When I can get the game and the expansion for 39.99 together. Since that is what it should have been in the first place.

I was so very stoked when Sid said he was going to do this game. And then guess what, they didn't put multiplayer in. So I decided to wait until they patched in multiplayer. Then they decided to charge extra to complete the game.

I liked CivIII it sucked a good four month of my gaming life away. And its a great travel game. I have it on my laptop so I can play in the evenings at hotels etc. where online connections are quite expensive. I'm just surprised its taken so long for a demo.NMG

Given that the real game fills a CD, isn't it possible that some of the upper level stuff that you'd never get to in 60 minutes are missing from the game?
Weird to see most people enjoyed Civ 3, as I thought the game was pretty awful. Not as deep/complex than Civ2 or Alpha Centauri, most of the game was dumbed down (especially in city management), and things like absolutely insane corruption were totally unbalanced and ruined the game IMO. Plus when you get at the end of a game ,the computer turns are painfully slow. I wish Brian Reynolds was still at Firaxis, Civ 3 would have turned into a good game.

So this is the game I didn't buy because I was afraid I might like it and waste nearly six months of my life like I did with Alpha Centauri.

Okay, did you see the thread on the Postal 2 demo? Someone posted a console command that extended the demo time and I didn't see anyone get banned or even a post edited over that. It's not like you're stealing anything.
