Following the official cancellation of the Y-Project upon the shutdown of Westka
Interactive (story) comes this
press release announcing that further pursuit of this project by its
one-time development team has ceased as well (thanks GameCaptain).
These former members of Westka have now formed a company called JOYLABS,
and they will use the occasion of this week's E3 Expo to unveil first
details about their new project, called Das Reich 2005 (working title).

i assure you that 1000 year old pasta would be inedible.
Actually Reich doesn't mean Pasta at all, it either means rich or kingdom/lair/domain - but has a strange aftertaste due to its nazi use "tausendjähriges Reich"..

oh futuristic german pasta game? intriguing. pasta is quite popular so may not be a budget title as you surmise.
This press release sure is drawing quite the buzz. The link reveals nothing about the game itself, just coming soon. So what can we surmise about this one just from it's title?
1. Das- which is German for "the"
2. Reich - which is German for "pasta"
So, The Pasta 2005. So the game is obviously a budget priced title concerning pasta. While it sounds interesting, I have som hesitation. for example will it have Co-Op play? Will it be as feature rich as the X-Box title? And finally will a level editor and Mod support be included.
I guess we can only wait and see!
