'Will Rock' uses a home-grown engine called Xaber3D.

Is Will Rock the same as Serious sam engine??????I didnt think so.......Please tell me if im wrong

No, I'm 99% sure it's an original engine. I know Croteam's beginning to license their engine, but I don't think anything's been released that uses it yet. I remember seeing screenshots of one game, I think it was Korean.

I was trying the demo a while ago and got stuck at one point where I have no idea how to advance. Can anyone help?

It's where you're in a big courtyard and endless waves of those bulls pop up from everywhere (this after killing variou other creatures including two of those missile armed robots high up on ledges). I kill them all but nothing happens. Then more bulls appear and I eventually die or run out of ammo.

I even tried using the bulls to knock me out of the courtyard, which worked. But then everywhere you run around to is just some other part of the level I already completed.

If memory serves (and it's been a couple years since I played the demo) you just keep killing and killing. That last battle takes a long while. Eventually the door to the big temple opens up and you enter. If you're running out of ammo, it's because you're not being careful enough with it. It's actually a strategy to let a bull knock you up one of the side walls, and then attack downwards. You'll have nothing to worry about but missles then, see if you can pull it off. You can sit there with the Colts and pick off the bulls at your leisure.

I agree. SS & SE2 coop was a blast. I've played it for months off and on. Nothing quite satisfies like mowing through hundreds of enemies with 8 other people. To bad more games don't offer coop. This reason alone makes SS: SE2 worth the $20 it costs (and you can probably find it for less now).

I have to agree with #21, it was a game that was very quake 2 in the AI area but it had a boat load of fun things and it had co-op, single player, multyplayer, it worked right out of the box, it was only ten bucks, it looked good, ran on a slow machine. It looks like Will Rock is an exact copy, lets hope for the 10 dollar price tag

now let the flameing begin...

It's the same engine as SS... and same style gameplay. They tried to add in a few more things to make it interesting. You launch yourself on a catapult, things pop/crawl out of the ground instead of just appearing. Also you collect treasure that lets you buy(Costs 50 gold) powerups at an alter. You can use these latter buy hitting the key bound to it. Also killing different monsters with different weps has affects. So it's not always about using the most powerful wep. Some of them you shoot and they gib and then the gibs morph into litte more annoying versions of the monster you just killed(2 usally) So if you use, say the flame or acid wep they will burn/pop and not turn into the littler guys. Then again you've got 50 of these things coming at you and those weps fire insanely slow.

This demo is okay. Dosn't make me want to buy it though. I played through both the SS games, and even with these new things it dosn't seem like enough of a step. The weapon switching is NOT FAST ENOUGH for this type of game. If you use just next/prev wep to switch, instead of the number keys, you will be stuck waiting for your char to pull out the wep while your mowed down by the wave of guys. And you NEED to switch, because of said poping guys and having to kill things with different weps. Also it started getting annoying because you can't save anywhere.

Sadly these little things just get too damn annoying at times.

SS was an insult to the people who tried playing it.
What, you don't like fun games or something? SS was awesome because it was unapologetically dumb, super-fun, and actually quite hard. It was a pretty big sleeper hit, as opposed to most FPS games that come from such humble beginnings and end up being turds. Multiplayer co-op Sam (set on Mental difficulty of course) was some of the best online times I've ever had.

If you loved 'Serious Sam' you'll love 'Will Rock'

If you hated 'Serious Sam' you'll hate 'Will Rock'

I enjoyed it enough, on a purely mindless run 'n' gun level; it's not 'Half-Life 2,' but it's not trying to be.

One other thing: the demo runs quite well. I only have a 700mhz processor (minimum calls for 800mhz), I was able to run the demo at 800x600 with most of the visual details set to 'high' and it ran smoothly.

"Now that's a lot of pussy!" will probably go down as the worst one-liner in FPS history.

I just wanna thank Croteam for yet another exciting entry in the Sam saga. Oh wait...

Yeah, well, I guess SS started a new "manic FPS" genre or something, and so far there seems to be plenty of room. Very polished and slick, and I can SEE MY OWN FEET! That's immersion, baby!

Bit buggy, though. You can reload at any time, even when your clip's full. I ran out of arrows in zoom mode, and instead of going to normal view, it stayed zoomed and suddenly I found myself using the acid gun, unable to unzoom. Switching weapons fixed it. Also, I saved right as the Cyclops started emerging, before he got out of his cage, and when I loaded, no Cyclops. Hence, impossible to win!

Fun game overall, and I LOVE the pistol. Better 'n Sam's Colts, if I daresay. Just 'cause you can fire as fast as you can click.
