that apparently offers somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-80 hours of gameplay.

An installer/uninstaller like Darkloader for Morrowind would really be unnecessary because you enable or disable mods from a menu before running Morrowind.
I have played most of the way through SOP and it's pretty good, the landscape is nice (but will be harder on your framerate than Morrowind) and there's some good humor in it, as well as being more puzzle oriented. I think I broke something however as I cannot seem to finish it.
