I tripped a circuit breaker yesterday, and found that even after resetting it, a bunch of stuff in the house was still without juice (Scotty... I need power!). This pushed me to the point where I was actually contemplating the mysteries of changing a buss fuse (how can you even tell that these things have burnt out?) when it all came back of its own accord. Very mysterious, and very frustrating this morning when I overslept after learning that not only did the time on the alarm needed to be reset, which we did, but the radio needed to be tuned into a station again, which we did not do, resulting in a soothing silence (not even some lucky static) when the alarm went off today (if the alarm doesn't make any noise, can it really be considered to have "gone off"?).
