The Galactic
Civilizations Website (thanks Frans) has word that a new version 1.03 patch
for the space strategy remake is now available via the Stardock Central utility.
The update adds a couple of new political parties, the capacity to add further
new parties going forward, AI enhancements, and much more.

well... Has much changed out of the box? ... if not then i might give it the ole download and try program... if I'm still playing in a week then it's good and I'll buy. If like so many other games I play once and it doesn't grab me then I'll add/remove programs...

Just gotta sing the praises of Stardock - not only is the game tremendously addictive, they are doing exactly what we as gamers have always wanted developers to do... listen to us and make changes in the game. It's a refreshing change to see this instead of the usual single bug-killing patch followed by a disappearance into the next cash cow.
