I think it will be a nice place for guild meetings... Or crafting characters. They should add Player owned merchants like UO. Are houses going to be worth the cost?
People can already take control of keeps and that's pretty much worthless unless your a big DF fan.

Housing's already in closed beta so it WILL come out.. just not on time

I don't understand why anyone would waste the resources to do housing in any game, considering I'd rather have more content to play, rather than some sort of house. I'm not going to log into DAOC and spend hours doing interior decorating: I'd rather be killing.

Very lame. I loved DAoC, but I just shake my head at the housing thing. It was supposed to be in the original game, but was left out. No big deal. That was what, 1.5 years ago? Ok, so no housing. They came out and said it would be released in the expansion. Nope, wasn't there. Well, they were adding a lot of stuff, so it was very hard to do.

Here's where it started to bug me. They next came out and claimed that housing would be done in the middle of April. For those of you not in the MMORPG area, that's when Star Wars Galaxies was supposed to come out (2 days ago, in fact). Coincidence? Maybe. SWG has been pushed back, some are saying until June (I believe Amazon used to list it as June). What's this, housing in mid-June? Hmmm...

I don't know anyone who is actually expecting housing to get done in DAoC anymore.
