made POSTAL 2 for our fans -- not for politicians, parents or 'penis challenged'
critics." Here's a bit more on the outrageousness: "Bravely published
by Whiptail Interactive, POSTAL 2 brings a whole new sick and twisted
perspective to videogaming. Joining the Postal Dude on a crusade of carnage is
notorious TV star Gary Coleman, who romps through the brilliantly conceived
gamescape flanking graphically exploding heads, rivers of urine, vomit and
oceans of blood -- not to mention the occasional screaming cat being stuffed
onto the muzzle of a shotgun."
Ya that was me. I once went on top of a building to shoot everyone around and people kept coming out of nowhere. Also the cops wont come after you while you're on the building. They'll just stand there. COOL!

Someone mentioned about protesters spawning in after you kill them all. I hate that. I've not played this game but was kinda hoping there was a finite number of people in the city. Maybe, say 2 or 3 thousand. So, if you were really good you could actually end up killing everyone.
For me that was one of the pleasures of playing Doom - that bit where you can happily go looking for secrets because you know you've killed every last mu'fugga in the map - and you can see all the bodies all piled up in the rooms and corridors where you have already been.
I know Doom could do it because the bodies were simple sprites - but ah.... it was cool.

But one thing I have to say in reply to that.. I think the American soldiers are smart about being so cautious. There have been many suicide bombings from 'innocent-looking' people. I wouldn't take any chances either. Sure, they may be going a little too far since it was a lady with children, but you never know. ..some people are crazy.

Postal sucked donkey balls. I don't expect the sequel to be much better. This press release seems to confirm my expectation. I don't know who told them about my penis.
I think its pretty spineless to try to force "Shock Value" alone to sell a game. RWS seems to say "If you dont like our game, you must be a tight ass" - as if reverse psychology will get people to buy shit. The sad thing is that it WILL work on a lot of people... but not enough for RWS to make anything substantial I bet. RWS felt they didnt have to have any sort of "game" - just a horribly ugly face. They thought they could skimp on content and concentrate 100% on flash.
Furthermore, as a purveyor of tasteless/shocking materials, I find Postal 2 to be a mockery of the very ideal they choose to eschew! Those fuckers are setting the movement BACWARDS by releasing substandard shit and claiming it to be some kind of reference or water mark for socially challenging art. To them I say: choke on my dick or I'll snap your mom's pelvis with it.
