Call of Duty Unveiled

A story on HomeLan Fed describes an article in the May 2003 issue of PC Gamer magazine that reveals plans for a Quake III engine World War II game called Call of Duty. The game is in development at Infinity Ward, partially owned by Activision, and composed of a bunch of the folks who developed Medal of Honor: Allied Assault while at 2015. Word is: "Unlike the Medal of Honor series, which focuses solely on American troops, Call of Duty will feature three separate single player campaigns (US, British and Russian)." No release date is offered.

yeah, and spearhead sucks.
all they did was rip off a bunch of MOH's assets and toss em in a game.

most of the members of infinity ward made MOH, the real winner in this situation

Errrm, again you fail to understand that 2015, nor infinity ward developed spearhead. Technically DreamWorks did, also known as EALA.

I think a post-apocolyptic FPS would be fun... a mix of all different types of weapons from different ages... mutants and such.

Also I think there should be a nowadays game. You could use tomahawks, battleships, aircraft carriers, chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, napalm, etc... might be hard to carry out, but would be fun... imagine an Gulf War 1 MMORPG/FPS like planetside... (and no I'm not thinking I'm being very politically correct for the current environment, but hey... the war will last for years, it's time to forget about it.)

Sounds like it could be fun. They could make something special, splitting the singleplayer in three campaigns. Seeing the same conflict from different sides.

Yes.. Choice is a Good Thing.. Besides, maybe Activision will allow the guys to finish the job properly and release something a little better.. The Spearhead expansion was nothing more than a couple of new skins and new weapons bundled with maps from a contest EA held.. They could have used their time a little more wisely in the cheat-prevention area.

How about a World War I game? (might be cool, but you'd sure die a lot with the artillery, gas, machine guns, and trench warfare) Or a Civil War FPS? (ugh reloading would take forever!!)

Modern times... Korean War, Gulf War, Gulf War II, ...
