The Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb
Website has word that the PC version of the latest game celebrating the
exploits of the daring fictional archaeologist is now available. Word is the
game is now in stores, or is available in the
online LucasArts store. Here's a bit on the story from the site: "It’s
1935 and this time you must prevent a powerful Chinese artifact from falling
into evil hands. This globe-spanning adventure pits you against evil Nazis and
the Asian underworld with a mysterious and alluring partner, Mei Ying. It’ll
take more than just a trusty whip and pistol to avoid deadly traps and navigate
through all the dangerous environments. Do you have what it takes to make it
back alive?"
Lara will always win this match-up simply because she has bigger guns. She also packs twin pistols. Not to mention the new direction Eidos has taken the game will undoubtedly make for a muchly cool game (akin to 'Splinter Cell'). Indiana Jones also has a predecessor which really brings down the confidence quotient and without a demo there is not much chance people will shell the bucks for what they see as risky business.
Yeah, a demo would be a good idea. Without it, I'd need a LOT of good reviews to go for it. While I liked Infernal Machine, I don't need to play a second one. At least, I don't THINK I do. A demo would go a long way to convincing me.
I might pick this one up on sale, but I would need to test it out first; the last game was a real letdown and the console reviews have only been average.
Wondering if Indy or Lara will win this round, Ray
