Second BF1942 Add-on?

A post from last week on Gameplanet (thanks the Junkyard) says that the latest New Zealand release schedule from Electronic Arts lists a new add-on called Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons scheduled to ship in September of this year. No further details are provided other than a listed $49.95 MSRP (presumably in N.Z. currency, which would be about $28.00 in the U.S.).

What is all this talk about RtR being $30? It's $20... I got it at $15 when Best Buy was having a special on it.

$20 for 6 maps, all with new vehicles to play with is not that bad, considering that most add-on packs out there seem to be $30 or more.

"Believe it or not people DO have a right to get payed(sic) for thier(sic) hard work, right? ... Fact is, don't cry because you think you DESERVE somebodies(sic) work of labor for free."

Dude, just give it a rest... your reading between the lines is not yet perfected. Or is it mind reading your attempting?

As I said before it is not about the cost. Put down your fan-boy flag, jump off the soapbox, and read(trying to understand what it is you're reading). Nobody has ask to get anything for free(least not I).

Like I said before I love the game. I just want the existing issues to be addressed before they try to crank out another expansion or sequel. Is that too much to ask?

If you only play multiplayer then you may not even be aware of most of the issues. But if you have a friend that likes to play the single player or cooperative play with bots then you're fully aware that the AI is still not great. Thou it is much better.

Don't bother to respond I already have an idea of what your reply will be, thanks.

Well, if you want to put me on a pedistal and label me Holier that you, by all means. As far as being closed minded, check out and count the post before mine....you see?, alot of negativity over having to pay $20 for an expansion.
Believe it or not people DO have a right to get payed for thier hard work, right? How about you come over to my house and clean it top to bottom real good...for free. No? I didn't think so.
So, whats your point? Or are you just trying to stake a claim of independence and respect? Pick a more worthy cause. Fact is, don't cry because you think you DESERVE somebodies work of labor for free. Yea, read that last sentence. Paranoid and unforgiven!

Sigh! To me it's worse then trolling... oh, forgive me I'm whining.

BF1942 could have been good but maybe it should have been done in a sci-fi setting instead.

It already exists: it's called Tribes.

I dunno why but I found that post amusing. :d

They also added some new tanks, weapons, and planes.
I hate it when I get in the artillery tank?/M7 Priest(I'm not exactly sure what they are called) and the AI starts driving!

WOW, what is up with all this whinning? Battlefield 1942 is one of the best online games to date. And if you have the latest patch you should have no problems at all. This game is great.

What I don't get is how some people can freak out so much over spending a measly $20!!! Sure, I would like it if they would release more than the 2 free maps that they have already, but oh well.

Who cares, I'm waiting for Halo. If its anything like the XBOX version then the online play will rock! BF1942 could have been good but maybe it should have been done in a sci-fi setting instead.

...everybody's got one. But it seems if you voice it here you are a "cheap-asses aged < 15", a "troll" or even a "jobless, spoiled, greedy, selfish kids". Funny that....

I call them as I see them. Six maps and a patch do not a value make...

I am glad you are enjoying the game. But do not condemn those who ask for more of their money. After all the original came with just under three times as many maps and it now cost pretty much the same as the add-on.

Even if I only payed 10 bucks for it I would be wondering why it only has 6 maps when it took so long to make. I don't really care about the cost(I'm no poor teenager,if that seems to matter).

And I noticed you didn't even touch the bugs issue... smart move. Isn't it just like a child to start with the name calling?

Essence is: There will be an editor realesed quite soon, hopefully this will end the "fuck EA/DICE for keeping a game that we love alive"-shit.

Well, if you read my previous post, I mentioned that the site was avaiable a week or so ago. But since it wasn't polished (or the editor wasn't done), it was withdrawn.
