HomeLan Fed is reporting having confirmed that due to its large size, the upcoming PC release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance will be on DVD-ROM only, with no CD-ROM distribution planned at all.

I'm wating until the DVD burners get their collective acts together, decide on one freaking format and the price starts to drop.

I agree. Until we can settle on one standard (or the majority of drives support all standards), I'm waiting on a dvd-r drive. I'm hoping Lite-On will get into the dvd burner market this year, as I love their cdr drives.

As far as games on dvd go, it's about damn time...I'm tired of playing "feed the cds".
