More games need to come on DVD. DVD roms have been coming standard for years now, in systems, and or very cheap to add to an excisiting PC (on about $30).

I am tired of seeing games come on 2-4 CDs and still feel like they had things cut for space.

There is no reason for games not to be on DVD.

People complained when the first games required 8 MB of memory, or required soundcards, or required CDROMS, or required Windows 95, or required Hardware Acceleration, or Required Hardware T&L. This requirement is long over due, and I welcome it.

Personally I think it's about time games became DVD only. 3 or 4 CDs is getting too common. You can buy a DVD-ROM drive for about the cost of a new game - all the people who have bought The Sims could have a DVD drive, a life and a fortune saved in expansion packs if they'd reconsidered.

Buying a DVD drive so you can play one game isn't right and I wouldn't go for that. But buying a DVD drive so you can play a significant number of new games, get more free crap if you buy game mags and watch movies is fair enough - much like buying a CD drive so you could save hassle with floppy disks, play a significant number of new games and listen to music was fair enough 7 years ago.

Are you serious? DVD ROM drives have been pretty much standard in PCs for like three years. I've been waiting the day when I stop getting 4-disc distributions of the games I buy, it's getting absurd. Also, this will help cut down piracy a bit, at least for a small while. The warez people will no doubt find ways to bypass, but it's more trouble.

I myself have a DVD+RW and it's fantastic, but I know I'm not in the general gaming populace. Still, you can get a perfectly capable DVD ROM drive for $50

Well I wasn't that excited about this game in the first place, at least not enough to buy a DVD-ROM. This just sort of cements my decision not to buy it.

Perhaps if they took out half of the totally CRAP and POINTLESS cut-scenes and actually put a little more GAMEPLAY into the damn P.O.S then it would fit onto a CD...

All I can say is that is a mistake. The casual gamer does not necesarily have a DVD Rom... talk about someone needing to fire their market research/distribution team. I care nothing about this game... but this is absolutely abismal...
