A Mistmare Demo is now
available, providing a sample of this imminent LithTech engine 3D fantasy RPG
from Arxel Tribe & Sinister Systems. The demo is a 278 MB download (though
it says 291 MB on the page), but no real details about what it offers are
available. Word on the full version of the game is that it's still planned for
release by the end of this month. The demo has been mirrored on 3D Gamers,
Computer Games Online,
FileShack (registration required),
Gamer's Hell, Happy Puppy
(registration required), and Worthplaying.

Are you kidding? These are the worst controls in a game ever. No mouse look, since you need the mouse for selecting mighty important items in the what? menu? Truning with the keyboard, therefore. Else, Point-and-click where you want to walk, or rather crawl to. Horrible camera control, or, if automated, horrible camera AI. Nuff said.

Downloaded it from 4 different locations. All say the same thing "Corrupt installer, exiting"
This is kind of weird. The screenshots from post 8 look a hell of a lot better than the ones on the official site that I saw this morning. The bald guy has a ROUND head in these ones! Maybe I'll check out the demo after all.

Worst game controls EVER! I challenge anyone to climb a spiral stair case in this game without losing there mind in frustration.
Game looks good by the thumbnails, but I too cannot view any of the screenshots. You'd think that they would have the web site debugged when they want people to be hyped by their game.
At any rate, I have downloaded the file and will check it out tonight. I wish I coudl comment on it, but I can't at this point. If anyone has played the demo, please post here what you think about it!?!?

Are the controls as bad as Gothic or Ultima IX? The movement controls in Gothic were ok, but everything else was confusing. U9 controls were alright except I didn't like how they did the movement commands.. and there was no way to change the key bindings.
I'm playing Morrowind now and its controls are pretty good. Also, the new controls in Gothic 2 (German demo) are a lot better than the first one.

the control on this is terrible, youndomly turn, run, stop, it's pretty confusing, it looked like it had promise too, oh well, another neat game done in by crappy control.
I can't view the screens ither.

Pretty crappy! ooooh
If you look at the screens everything is pretty jaggied up there. And there's a bald guy that has a skull that gets pointy at the top... I don't think there's a conhead race in this game either.

I never heard of this game but it looks pretty. I'll check it out later hopefully.
