Out of the Blue

Out first winter in this house was two years ago, and the snow was pretty extreme, about half-way through the season I began to regret not having sprung for a snow-blower. Last year we had hardly any snow at all, making me feel smart for having not succumbed to that snow-blower temptation late in the previous winter. On the other hand, this year has been one of the most extreme I can ever recall, and here we are in the first week of March, and sure enough it is snowing heavily once again. Since this is the month that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, it certainly seems too late in the season to go for the automated snow remover, and if the pattern from last time follows, one won't be needed for next year either, but I may just try and be smart about this (for a change) and try to pick one up during the off season after spring has sprung. Of course, as luck would have it, if I pick up a snow blower, we'll probably go ten straight years without a flake, but at this point, that's a risk I'm willing to take. Yeesh.

Electric snowblowers? Lawnmowers I can see. You'd be dragging a 500' extension cord behind you to do the sidewalks and driveway at my place.

This is from the first 4" we were hit with this year. I don't have anything scanned in from the 20" that came later on.

How many toes does a fish have?
How many wings on a cow? I wonder, yep. I wonder!
