I see Opera's list of features and such, and some still say it sucks.

I guess it's an opinion-oriented subject.

Some people say Opera is better, others say Mozilla.

I guess I'd have to try both and see which works better for me if I decide to switch..

#8 thats bull shit. I have an athlon xp 1.4 GHz and my IE takes a fraction of a second to start. It depends a lot on what site is your start page to with IE. Netscape/Mozilla are slow with loading up plugins and whatnot. Can you use those browsers to view your files on your hard drive yet? Without viewing it like an ftp site that is?

Does Netscape still fail to offer pop-up blocking like Mozilla? That alone could knock it down a couple spots. Owell, I love Mozilla. It would be painful to go back to IE now.

IE would take 30 seconds to load, if it had to do it from scratch, as Netscape and Mozilla have to.

Exactly right, and you can offset that advantage by having the Mozilla "Quick Launch" running in your system tray. (It effectively does the same thing that Windows does with IE automatically... leaves the bulk of the code running from boot-up on...)

I just did a test. Mozilla launches in about 3-4 seconds. IE in 4-6 on my 2GHz XP Pro machine.

There are advantages to loading your browser while loading the OS, ya know.

Opera > IE > Netscape

You mean:
Opera > Phoenix > Mozilla > IE > Netscape

What? How can you put Netscape and Mozilla (or Phoenix for that matter) apart at all? You do know that from version 7 on, Netscape is Mozilla, right? It's a rebranded (and slightly modified) version of the Mozilla 1.0 codebase.

so, from my personal preference, I'd say it's:
Mozilla/Phoenix/Chimera > Netscape > Opera > Conquerer > IE
