Following up on recent reports that a Hitman movie is possibly in the works (story), ScreenDaily (thanks Worthplaying) has another story up about future cinematic possibilities of IO Interactive's assassination series, which includes a tidbit about the next installment in the game series as well: ""IO Interactive is currently developing Hitman, 3 set for a spring 2004 release, but it is too soon to say when the film might be ready and if its release will coincide with the new game."

...the first one had a number of problems, yet it was still received well and sold respectfully.

The second one improved a lot of things from the first game and received even better reviews and, I would presume, increased sales.

That is not to mention how it is a multi-platform title, earning even more money in the process.

Hitman = Money

Money = Happy IO

Happy IO = More Hitman

Wondering how the movie could ever replace Leon :o,
