And about OC and all that relates to it, you should know that it is hardly 10% of the game.
Then why market NWN as a game? If the actual game is utter shit but it's only "10%" of the product, why should I buy the "software" on the merits of the game? Bioware payed off the reviewers and duped me. It's gonna take some serious convincing for me to pick up KotOR.
On the subject of the awards, Mafia was by far the best game of the year, with Battlefield 1942 and Freedom Force as runners up. The supposed banner year for RPGs produced a level editor (NWN), a first-person adventure (Morrowind) and an isometric action game(Dungeon Siege). IWD2 was the only decent one of the CRPG lot, but even it was plagued with an obsolete engine. Too bad all of the magazines and websites are more concerned with recognizing their biggest advetising contributors than recognizing good games.
