As promised, this NVIDIA Game Spotlight & Download Page now features a new playable demo for Delta Force Black Hawk Down, the latest installment in the DF series of tactical shooters that's based in Mogadishu, Somalia. As was announced (story), the 132 MB demo, which contains a sample of both single- and multiplayer play, is hosted there exclusively for a couple of days before mirrors will be permitted to carry the file. Thanks Quboid. Also, there's a new Black Hawk Down preview on PC.IGN.Com offering impressions of the game.

#11: They weren't after innocent civilians.

#10: There are games based on every major war/conflict on the market. All had more casualties over Somalia. As a Vet I think it's a good idea for media/games to revive the memory of what happened. People will become curious and gain knowledge on what happened (via books, articles, etc) and those that made the ultimate sacrifice will not be forgotten. As a Somalia Vet (was in Mog Feb-Apr'93) I just think it's unfortunate Novalogic made it into what looks to be a crappy game. But watcha gonna do?
