Yeah, they're at 82,000 right now, but then claim this:
The company is projecting that it will have from 300,000 to 400,000 subscribers by the end of the calendar year.
hmmm...I'm a little skeptical.
That's a HUGE swing in revenue:
82K users = 9.8M/yr
350K users = 42.0M/yr
whoa!
I wonder how under capacity their servers are right now. Maybe they are contemplating a monthly price cut.

Sims Online isn't doing as well as expected. What a big surprise: the last thing I want to do to relax is come home and play a game that pretty much simulates what someone does during the day. Eat. Sleep. Chat. Sheesh, I can do those things for real.
I'd much rather play a fantasy online game, like EQ or DAOC. In fact, tonight, I'll probably play EQ. Oh, wait, I think I forgot to get food for my character...

I can't fully judge this game because I only played it once and it was multiplayer at a LAN party but I will anyways. I couldn't stand it (and neither could the other people that were trying to play it). What is confusing in the petition is that all the cons listed contradict the pros. For example the game is boring and the single player was awful but it appealed to fans and was challenging. Also the multiplayer was incredible but there was weak support, weak netcode and no modding support. This doesn't make sense to me.

I'm all for a Renegade 2. And maybe with this new consolidation scheme of EA's, the new LA Uber studio will produce something good, with a story, supervision and innovation ideas from the Westwood Studios team and the experties of the EALA team that made Frontline....
But that C&C Renegade 2 petition... Not only will it accomplish nothing, but it is also a bad petition. It's full of wrong misleading info and whining.
Now, if it was a better written and more thought out petition, then.....
