UT2003 Bonus Pack Tomorrow

Digital Extremes sends word to expect their Bonus Pack for Unreal Tournament 2003 tomorrow at 2:00 PM EST. Accompanying the announcement are two new screenshots, and here is how they describe the contents:
Sizing in at around 195 Megs, the DE Bonus Pack includes 6 all new maps - 3 deathmatch, 2 CTF and 1 Bombing Run. Here's a couple of screens to whet your appetite until tomorrow.

The Bonus Pack will be available in two forms - umod form and a zip file that extracts the map/textures/static meshs to the correct spots for people who don't have the latest patch (v. 2166) or who are running dedicated servers only. (umods sadly don't work without the latest patch or with server only versions.)

Hell, the game is barely playable on a 56K connection (unplayable for me, but I've been on broadband for a while now). Besides, you'll be able to pick up the bonus pack on a magazine cover-CD in a couple weeks or so prolly.

What else is inlcuded with this. I remember reading about two all new announcer voices, with one being female. SO there are more than just maps in that dl probably. Unless all that's coming on a different patch.

I haven't really kept up with this, since I don't particularly care much for Quake2003, but what all is going to be in this Bonus Pack?

195MB for 6 new maps seems VERY excessive?

Ha... only 195MB? That's nothing. If you're a regular at fileplanet or some other similar site, most demos that I see are at least 100MB+ and quite a few are around 200-500MB in size.

Most 56k'ers are in the minority now, so you're right, they don't care about you.

(Yes, I went 6+ months without internet access because I refused to do the 'net without broadband. :P)

Is it just me, or does something seem a little screwy about this? I remember when the demo came out, they were size-conscious and wanted to keep it at or under 100MB. I guess they've since decided that size doesn't matter?

OCed_5150, I feel especially sorry for you and the rest of the non-broadband group because I just made the move to DSL. This should be evidence to you that they just don't care about the 56K'ers anymore.
