Splinter Cell PC Gold

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for the PC Has Gone Gold is the press release announcing the PC version of the stealthy third-person Tom Clancy shooter is complete and off to duplication. The exact in-store date is uncertain at this time, it is listed in the release as mid-February. The announcement is accompanied by a batch of new screenshots, and here are some details from the release on the game's storyline: "You are Sam Fisher. A lone shadow-operative in a world where lost seconds can allow terrorist plans to become deadly reality. You operate in the heart of hostile territory. Spy. Steal. Destroy. Assassinate. Just don't ever be seen. Because when the stakes are this high, the choice between leaving a witness or a corpse is no choice at all. When two CIA agents mysteriously vanish in the former Soviet republic of Georgia, the NSA's secret sub agency, Third Echelon, deploys Sam Fisher--its most capable splinter cell operative--to recover them. Fisher soon uncovers a deeper conspiracy: a plot that threatens to destabilize the world order and spark nuclear conflict."

How the hell do you get no sales tax??

Grrr, it's one of those periods again where every dog and their grandmothers are releasing those games within a week of one another.

One more time Gaming Industry. Repeat after me.

S P R E A D T H E W E A L T H !!!

Every year months go by with NOTHING coming out, and then every publisher is like "Holy shit, they released Project X, we gotta shovel our shit out the door NOW so we can watch our sales be really low and stuff!"

I mean, it doesn't take fucking calculus level math to figure out that the average gamer only spends so much a month on games, right? So that if you release your game when there are nine other AAA titles out, it IS pretty likely that you might not sell as well as, for example, if you would release your game two months later, when there is nothing new out.
(yes yes, I know that people can wait and buy games later, but if there is one 'fashion' industry, it has to be the games market. If something is deemed 'old', ie two months, it just doesn't sell as well anymore, unless it's called the Sims. Damn, that's one long sentence).

So let's see, that's Unreal 2, C&C Generals, Splinter Cell, what else is coming out in February?
