From the official Natural Selection FAQ:

.........you'll need a copy of Half-life or Counter-strike retail. If your machine runs one of these well, it should run Natural Selection comparably.

Anyway where i live, HL is like 20$, so its worth it buying another i think.. (because CS-retail is so...uh.. "retail" )

I agree, it might look great on the DOOM3 engine but the lower player counts whould kill the teamplay type game that NS is. I just can hope that someone starts this up for the UT2003 engine. I think you could do wonders with it, between the better graphics and bigger levels. Although the Q3ATA engine would most likly work good and wouldn't be as hard going from one engine type to another. But then again switching might not be that big a deal, since it's just a guess on my part.

I see Valve packaging this after a few more releases(See 1.1 and more maps) and trying to sell it in stores. I kinda wish they would work on all their other projects first though.

I wouldn't say that all these maps are mazes, most of the maps are easy to learn if you put a little time into it. Because of the nature of the mod they have to be a bit more complex than normal mp games/mods, and most of the maps aren't repetitive at all, they're just complex. Also I don't think this would be good on DOOM3, mostly because of the low player counts (it seems they aren't aiming for 16-32 player games :0 If this game gets ported at all, I'm pretty sure it'll be to the next valve game/engine.

Good mod. Too bad all the maps are boring and repetitive mazes. I'd love to see this go retail on an entirely new engine.

Yeah dod rocks, but some of it's problems annoyed me away from playing it (Kar98).

IMHO, this is one of the best mods for HL. This is the game that finally sucked me away from CS.

Yeah... It's a server side patch... (Ns 1.1 will be both server and client). And let me say: It rocks!
