Microsoft Posts Profit, Splits Stock
(thanks Nuinn Foxwood) has word that Microsoft's fourth quarter earnings report
reveals profits of $2.55 billion (47 cents a share) for the quarter, prompting
the company's first-ever dividend, as well as a stock split. A more negative
result was posted by chip-maker AMD, who
have reported greater losses and fewer sales than in 2001.

Not really...Fend for your own..Its an instinctive trait all humans share. Even when you give to others you are only doing so to make yourself feel better so in essence you are still doing it for yourself.
Even Mr. Rich bags in Redmond doesn't spend his money on himself. I read that he has donated something like 1.2 Billion dollars of his own money (not from the gatefoundation, or any of his other cahrities, out of his own personally bank account) in the last 10 years or so....

I was doing some calcualting, and by splitting the stock, Bill Gates in essance got a 99.5 MILLION dollar a year raise (he owns 10.2 billion shares, at .16c a piece per year). How the heck can you spend $100 million a year!?!?!?!?!?
Beware the juggernaut that is MS. I got an xbox for Christmas and, despite what most say, I find it quite fun.
