EVE Trailer

The EVE Downloads Page now offers a new trailer showing off gameplay from EVE: The Second Genesis, CCP's upcoming outer-space MMORPG. The trailer is available as a smaller Windows Media Player file or a larger MPEG, and outlines: "the plans and intentions of an ambitious player in the world of EVE."

A new one from E3 was just posted at the Eve official site - if anyone reads this stuff! Man some of these boards are dead!

Yes....I completely agree that EVE definitely looks better, and seems to have had more thought into the general look and feel. I was talking more about actual gameplay and quests, tasks, etc. Just because I can't tell what differentiates it in that regard from the trailer. My problem with E&B was that at least when I tried it out, it seemed to live up to the description many people have of it being like EQ in space. I'm trying to get an idea of why EVE is different (in the trailer they simply talk about minining, running courier missions, going after renegade pilots, etc. which all sounds fairly standard).

This looks and seems much more appealing the more and more that is revealed about Corporations and the way the game works.

#2 I beleive he's talking about the gameplay rather than graphics

Are you kidding? EVE doesn't look anything *like* E&B! Just look at how cartoonish E&B looks compared to the detailed ships of EVE. Heck, the ships of E&B are all the same size... whereas in EVE... your fighter will be DWARFED by a cruiser. Trying reading an EVE Q&A. Educate yourself.

I've been trying to follow news about EVE since I first heard about it, and it sounds like a fun game. However, from this latest trailer, I'm having a hard time getting a sense of what differentiates this game from Earth and Beyond (a game which I thought looked great, but didn't really capture me with its gameplay). I'm personally dying for a cool massively multiplayer space game, but I'm hoping to get an idea of what makes this different from E&B, as the trailer makes it sound and look almost identical (which I'm sure it isn't).
