Anyone know how to get the Audigy 2 (not platinum) connector to hook up to a digital optical in?

You're talking about the slim, rectangular connector? You need an adapter to convert it to a mini plug (like all the other plugs on the Audigy 2) and then plug the mini into the first hole, which is the digital input, on the Audigy 2. The mini plugs are generally used for portable devices like a discman, but I guess the Creative people used it in order to fit more plugs on the back.

I bet you can find what you need at your local Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics, or maybe even a Best Buy, depending on what you have in your area.
