Out of the Blue

Being particularly fond of instances where life imitates art, I had to do a double-take at Wanted: What's His Name Again, a Wired article sent along as a link of the day candidate (thanks Mike Martinez). I think we're about one TButtle away from living in the world depicted in Brazil, which is perhaps my favorite all-time movie. If Michael Palin comes to your door looking for someone, be sure to double-check his paperwork.

Link of the Day: Top Ten Worst Game Covers. Thanks Ant.
Stories of the Day: New York's most expensive burger (NY Times free registration required). Thanks Mike Martinez.
Images of the Day: Lee Harvey and the Dallas Fuzz (featuring Jack Ruby). Thanks Sean Hannan.
The Real BOFH. Thanks Ant.
Nice City. Thanks Chris Grindle.

"Triplets."

"My, how time flies!"

*knock, knock*

"Can we have your liver?"

"But, I'm using it. I can't give it to you now, it says in the event of death."

"No one who has ever had their liver taken out by us has survived."

"Is this because he took out one of those silly cards?"

It isn't of course only a problem with the FBI. For example as http://quest.cjonline.com/stories/120500/gen_1205004851.shtml shows the list of eligible voters in many states (including the too close to call state of florida) often uses name matching to identify people as 'felons'.
