IGI 2: Covert Strike MP Beta [Jan 10, 2003, 11:34 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
A multiplayer beta version of IGI 2: Covert Strike is now available, offering a
sample of Innerloop's upcoming stealthy shooter sequel. "This public
Multiplayer Beta Test features the 'Timberland' map and calls for stealth and
weapon skills. In Timberland, the IGI operatives’ aim is to sabotage an old
mineral plant that the Conspiracy is using as a cover to extract uranium for
covert weapons manufacturing." The 117 MB file can be downloaded from
publisher Codemasters,
or from one of the mirrors on Ferrago.co.uk,
FileShack (registration required), Fragland, Gamer's
Hell, or Tiscali Games.
If cost isn't too much of an issue, is there any way you can swap that card out of there for something better.
Matrox needs to lead, follow, or get out of the way. I have yet to see something as good as ATI or nVidia coming from Matrox. Just my personal opinion.
In fact, the first Matrox card I ever bought supposedly for 3D gaming was the Mystique (spelling?), and it didn't even support OpenGL at the time. (It was returned to the store within 3 days after purchasing it.)
