Black Hawk Down SP Demo

A single-player demo for Delta Force: Black Hawk Down has made its way onto the internet after being released on the cover-mount CD of a gaming magazine (thanks Tim Tibbetts). Apparently an updated demo that addresses some shortcomings in this one and adds the multiplayer component from the previously released demo of NovaLogic's upcoming DF game is in the works for a release in a few weeks, but in the meantime, no objections are being raised to the distribution of this demo, which can be found on 3D Gamers, FileShack (registration required), and Worthplaying.

... I was a bit harsh, I have played a few DF games. This appears to be a step up in the graphics department. Maybe an advanced voxel engine?

A lot of what was pointed out earlier is correct. AI is laughable and the players movement feels cartoon-ish. Not to mention the sounds need to be reworked. The players weapon sounds as if it's a block away....

Overall it leaves me wishing the demo included a few more levels to get a better feel for the game. And it leaves me again thinking of a lot of possibility that was wasted. If they can tweak the gameplay(the players movements)and make it feel more realistic and less cartoon-ish. I may get it just so my friend and I will have another Co-op game to play.

Otherwise I will pick this one up in a few months(summer) when it's cheap and I am bored...
